Steps Setting Up Acekard2i for DSi | Ishopvideogame
1)UpdateYou should have two files. In the file names, look for the symbol dsi or dsl, if you have a dsi, use the file with dsi in it, if you have a Ds lite or Ds original, use the one with dsl in it. Now, take your memory card out of your acekard2i and put it into your computer. A window should pop up and ask if you want to view the files on the card, click it and the card files will come up. Drag your update onto your microsd card. Put the card back into your acekard 2i and boot up your system. Navigate to the file, and select it. When it loads, there should be a blue screen with text. Now just hit the start button and it will update. Make sure your DS has enough battery where it wont shutoff or its plugged in while its updating. After the update finishes, reboot your DS and play!
2)Formatting
Please format your microSD/HC card. You will need to download the Panasonic Formatter to format the microSD card right. And then download and install it and select the drive your microSD is in and click "Format". Make sure you back your files up on your computer before formating!
3)Unzipping
In order to unzip the downloaded .zip file with the firmware inside it, you will need to download and install 7Zip. So download it, then right click on the .zip or .rar file. Look for 7-zip in the drop down menu, scroll over it, then hit extract here.
4)
Adding the system firmware. Download AKAIO and extract the .zip file. Two things should show up, akmenu4.nds, and a __aio folder. Drag these items to the root of your microSD. The root is the first window that pops up when you open your microSD card. In my computer, you would click on the removable drive it is in, and that is the root. Once the files are on, your acekard is ready to run.
5)
Adding games and homebrew You can put games and homebrew anywhere on the MicroSD. You can create a "games" folder and put a homebrew folder inside of it. Apps folder. Etc. Some homebrew will require that the system folder of the homebrew is on the root. With moonshl2, you would put the moonshl2 folder where your firmware is. (Right on the root) As of the .nds file, you can put that anywhere. A few homebrew require that the homebrews system folder is in the same location where the .nds file is. It just depends.
6)
Using cheats ou will need to download the gbatemp cheat database. Then extract it with 7-zip. Drag the file extracted to your cheats folder in your __aio or __ak2 folder. Boot up your acekard and click Start> System options> now hit the top right arrow key till it says, "Default patch options." Now, at the bottom, select your cheat databse, and hit ok. And you are done.
7)
Using themes First, download the wanted theme. Extract the zip file and you should have a folder with lots of images. Drag that folder into your "ui" folder inside of your __aio or __ak2 folder. Boot your acekard up, and hit: Start> System options, and select your theme from the list. Hit the a button three times after it is selected, and your acekard will reboot with the new theme.
