Well, as expected the new XPERIA X1 is no exception to the Sony Ericsson rule book.Placing mobile Web communication and multimedia entertainment at the heart of the design & incorporating a Windows Mobile Operating System, touch screen technology and a superb multimedia experience thanks to the huge 3 inch display, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 is one superb looking phone.
You can navigate with the tip of your finger & you can configure the panels of the XPERIA just the way you want them. The arc design gives the X1 a distinctive and unique look. You simply slide the screen upwards to reveal the wide-pitch QWERTY keyboard - how cool is that ? It"s very much like the HTC TYTN II design, whereby you can simply slide & start typing.
It would seem to us that smartphones and mobile phones are finally beginning to "merge" into one as a mainstream model. This theory is supported by the sudden profusion of touch screen devices for the masses - LG Viewty - LG Prada and Sony Ericsson W960i being 3 of the most recent examples that spring to mind.
As you would expect, the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 has all the whistles and bells you could ever require from your mobile phone, including 3.2 Mp camera with autofocus & digital zoom, multimedia player including FM radio, 3G video calling, Bluetooth, WLAN, Internet explorer, e-mail and full organiser capabilities - Phew ! Quite a specification eh ?
